Tea Towel ¦ Neutral ¦ Curator I Embroidery
45.00 cad
The Curator I embroidery is created based on our illustration of Vancouver based artist Chessa Osburn of Twenty One Tonnes. On top of being a full time mother of two, Chessa curates, designs and creates baskets and other home goods in collaboration with women weavers from Ghana.
The Vestige tea towels are the perfect one-size-fits-all gift, or an elegant, sustainable addition to your kitchen. On top of creating a well-crafted piece, we also hope the use of fabric towels will help reduce paper waste in your homes.
In addition, these towels are cut and sewn by the Common Threads society. Common Thread is a non-profit society offering training and employment in sewing and craft to people with social and work barriers. Their goal is to provide our program participants with work skills that will enable them to generate income, and to offer social engagement opportunities where they can feel valued for their skills and experience rather than judged because of their mental health barriers.
Here at Vestige, we hope that by providing their program participants with our orders, we can create job opportunities and help foster a brighter future for all individuals involved in the project.
